(FOUND) Bullet given by Bet Boy
I need help finding an old Rom hack I remember playing a few years ago. It was a pokemon one and it had really weird translations, the only one of which I fully remember being an error message that read "BULLET GIVEN BY BET BOY GIVEN BY BET BOY CAN USE." If anyone can help me find this it would be appreciated
EDIT: For some more context its not some scary hack or anything (from what I remember), and I don't think it even changed any of the gameplay. It just had really funny translations and I want to see them again
EDIT 2: This media has been found! Thank you TAMAWARE_2001!

Re: (LOST MEDIA) Bullet given by Bet Boy
Ah, you're thinking of Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal. It's a pretty terrible english translation of Pokemon Crystal for GBC; it was translated from Japanese to Chinese to Vietnamese and then to English, meaning a LOT of stuff has gotten lost in translation. For a while, the ROM was floating around online as one of the only ways to play Pokemon Crystal on PC, since ROM dumps were less common. The BULLET GIVEN BY BET BOY screen you're describing here is the horrible translation of the screen that shows up when you try and play a Game Boy Color game on an original Game Boy. For some reason, certain actions in the game will trigger this screen and you'll have to restart. It's quite the novel ROM, and if you're interested in witnessing the quite frankly amazing translation errors, you can find it online. (I can't provide it for legal reasons.
)
I wouldn't call this lost media, as it's pretty well documented.

Oh ok thanks! I called it lost because I didn't remember the name of it and couldn't find it anywhere. This is actually a good explanation for why it was like that lol!TAMAWARE_2001 wrote: Tue Feb 18, 2019 11:44 pm Ah, you're thinking of Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal.
