Game remakes/ports

What are some of your favorite remakes of older games, and what game do you wish got remade or ported to newer consoles? Personally, my favorite remake of all time has to be Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for 3DS. Perfect remakes imo, minus the battle tower of course. As for a game I wish would get remade, the original Paper Mario for Nintendo 64 has always been one of my favorites, but it needs a pretty big facelift. Being crammed on the 64 cartridge left it with bugs galore.

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are straight up AWESOME, no contest. They added SO much new stuff and I love how you can have your Pokemon walk with you.
I wish they kept that feature for the newer games... Spyro Reignited is great too!

Never played Spyro, but I took a quick look and they look really fun. Also, hard agree on HGSS. Don't know why so many people hate them... They're top 5 remakes of all time for sure.
